If this works as advertised, it could very well change how we do things (and i dont mean in a cheap, gimmecky way).

Project Naval, Yikes what controller would that be O.O

lol someone says im going to bed goodnight in middle of movie and it shuts off :P I wonder if it'd have interactive....nevermind. (lets all your twisted minds do the rest)

Either way it'd definitely need controllers, freakin trying to turn an invisible steering wheel, hellz no! I'd imagine imitation controllers would have to be released with games, which might actually be better anyways, noone wants to pull invisible levers and shoot an invisible gun. I mean if your driving you need something to grab onto to shift with... I mean what if you're a female?

Also I wasn't really paying attention when she shifted gears, but i'm hoping the guy next to her isn't her brother.

Project natal sounds epicly awesome.

There are many people saying its a rip of from the "Eye Toy" for PS2.. In some ways it is, but natal just looks like so much more.

@Aamertherar, that is true, who would want to shoot with invisible guns.. Maybe they would copy the WII and get some gun addons or something.  The fighting looks like it will be fun, but driving without a steering wheel??

We will see how this turns out.

Well, with that scanning thing, you might even be able to use your own guns for controllers ... with the bullets taken out of course (I just had a horrible flash of someone shooting a round of shot into my flat screen)... and Project Natal has way more tech in it than the eye toy ever had. Another problem with the eye toy is that it was hell to program for, supposedly they are trying to make Project Natal way more developer friendly.

And have something against women drivers aamertherar? Cool

Can't wait till this goes live, though I fear for the Wii...

lol aamertherar i dont even know what that female statement meant.  But yeah, it looks like you could use just about anything for a controller...

I question the advertised responsiveness of this device... since it is interpreting your movements, it would be shocking to me if it was in real time (no perceivable delay between your actions and the result of your actions on the screen).

Here is some actual video of people using it, don't notice much of a delay.

Hopefully it is less gimmicky than the eye toy.

The major difference I have seen is the interpretation of 3 dimensional space. Eye-toy could not do that.

I can't wait to play Soul Caliber on this. It will be awesome if you can scan in random objects to be used as weapons.

The real question is, what's the next step? The only way to make a fighting game more realistic after this will be to actually get into fights.

What's wrong with that?  As long as I get to be first player. Commando

The next step is plugging right into the matrix.

I think the next step is actually wearing suits to get a physical feel of the virtual world. After that is hacking into the brain and manipulating it (leave me out of that tyvm). Even better would be the suits integrated with 3d holographic technology. With any luck the human race will destroy itself before we get that far.
