I saw it and it was amazing. Anyone else see it? What did you think? Of course the book was better in my opinion but what do you think?
I thought it was pretty good. I think the only thing that I didn't like was the Half-Blood Prince's book. I don't know how big of a role it played in the book since I haven't read it yet, but in the movie, it just felt like everything about the book was tacked on.
The Half Blood Prince book does play a big role in the book, it basically teaches a few things that harry needed to know, yet no one else really knew about. The book was snapes potions book back in the day, and he invented his own spells, which harry then tried to use against snape. Which qued for the "How dare you try to use my own spells against me", part.
They did not emphasize enough on the book, within the movie. It felt quite cheap about snape revealing himself as the prince, ..as the book had actually a long-run up to the reveal. were as the movie didnt show that.
The only thing I did not like about the movie (despite watching it 6 times so far), is that they did not give the feeling of the impending all-out war as the book did.
Other than that, i found it very goosebumpy-feeling.
The movie was good... but the book was amazing. Trust me vampy, if you enjoy the films you should absolutely read the books.... its like the director's uber extended elite version of the movie. EVERYTHING makes sense.
